Prom is right around the corner and many people are starting to ask their dates to the dance. This year many are scrambling to find a good idea because most of them have been taken.

Junior Jackson Stewart asked senior Sophia Taavo in a very unique style by creating the house from the movie “Up.” “I used the windows and put the letters in the windows,” Stewart said.

Tavvo liked the idea and was very surprised by what he did. “I loved the idea. I thought the sign was cute. I am stressed but excited to go to prom this year because I get to wear a pretty dress and take pictures with my friends,” Taavo said.

Junior German Lechuga asked senior Elena Wozniak by using golden balloons and spelling out the words ‘PROM’ with flowers laid out on the bed in her room. “I surprised her with a bouquet of flowers and the big balloons and her mom helped me set it all up in her room,” Lechuga said.

Wozniak loved the idea and was not expecting it. She was confused on how he got in her room and did everything without her knowing. She is very excited to go with him and this would be their second year going together. “When I saw him in my room I was confused but happy he did this for me,” Wozniak said.

Senior Quinn Bradford asked junior Isabel Schrank in a funny way. He had a sloth costume and said ‘Isabel I meant to ask sooner but I move like a sloth prom.’ “I asked her when she got back from her soccer game in front of all of her soccer friends,” Bradford said.

Schrank appreciated the laugh it gave her at the time. “We just lost our soccer game 4-0 so when he asked me it cheered me up from the game,” Schrank said.

Junior Riley Guenther asked junior Mallory Fritz in a very thoughtful way. He made a poster saying, “I didn’t know what to say so I will just wing it” then had BW3s wings in his hand. “I knew she liked BW3 and I already asked her to play volleyball,” Guenther said.

Fritz is grateful for the sign and the food that came with it. “I loved the idea we also got to eat after which made me really happy,” Fritz said.

All in all, there were a lot of great ideas this year for the 2023 prom with many other people with amazing ideas. The hope is for the 2023 prom to be successful.
