Boys Soccer Wrapped Season Wrapped up.

Coach George Knezic is very proud about how the team always gave it their all on the field.
“I am most proud of the fact that this young team never seems to give up in a game regardless of the score,” Knezic said.
While the team gave it their 100 percent, each and every game, they still have had a number of challenges to overcome throughout the season.
“One of the biggest challenges that we have faced as a team has been not reflecting the amount of talent of the individuals into a team effort. We have so many good players that play for the top club teams in Wisconsin but taking a lot of individuals and giving them the same jersey doesn’t mean that they will play well together,” captain Jack Mcgee said. “ I think that at the beginning of the season we got off to a slow start because we didn’t play well together as a team. As the season went along we started playing more as a team with more effort to win the game as a team and not as individuals and this has helped us to gain momentum going into playoffs.”
As a captain, McGee has done everything in his power to be the best he can for his team.
“The most important part of being a captain is setting the stage for the rest of the team. No matter what you do when you are wearing the C, everyone on your team is looking up to you and anything you do the rest of your team will see that as an example to follow, whether good or bad,” Mcgee said.
On Thursday the Boys Varsity Soccer team played defeating Milwaukee Ragan in the first regional round, 4 nil to advance to the regional final. Goals were scored by senior captain Connor Serketich, sophomore Taylor Knepper and senior captain Michael Miksic. One goal was a self-goal.
Unfortunately the Boys varsity soccer lost on Saturday in the regional final at Pewaukee, 2-0
The season may be over but the team has a lot to be proud about
“I am most proud of taking down the #3 team in the state, Pius, 2-1” junior Nick Richlen said.
