The boys swim start off the season with some high achievements, They have won all of their conference meets and they have even beaten Muskego for the first time in several years.

“This past meet I personally did well because I worked well with my team. I even dropped time in my 100 breaststroke,” freshman Vincent Patti said.

Some students feel they have been doing well this season.

“My season so far is going much better than I thought it would,” senior Steven Novinska stated. “I did very well at my last meet with best mid season times.”

Like Novinska, junior Jackson Zgola has also improved his times.

“My season is going well; I’ve achieved some new best times,” he said.

The swimmers have set some goals for themselves to achieve throughout the season.

“My overall goal for this season is to continue to make my times go down,” Patti said.

Many swimmers goals are to make it to State and to enjoy the season with their teammates.

“My goal for the end of the season is to make it to state individually,” Novinska said. “My favorite memory is definitely the overnight swim meet where I got to build a fort in my room,” said senior Steven Novinska.

As new freshman are added to their team, the team is improving because they are working hard together to accomplish new goals.

“My team and I are are dropping times together and it’s actually really exciting, also I like all the team bonding we do because I have gotten closer with my teammates,” Patti.

Zgola’s favorite memories have come in the pool.

“My favorite memory so far is breaking a bunch of records at the Janesville relay meet,” Zgola said.
