“The Last Jedi” gets mixed reviews

The latest movie in the Star Wars series, The Last Jedi, came out last Thursday, December 14th. The movie is the second one of the new trilogy, and the sequel to The Force Awakens.

The The Last Jedi picks up right where the last one ended, with Rey handing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker his old lightsaber. It also picks up with Finn, who was knocked unconscious in a fight with Kylo Ren, waking up in a coma.

Many people at GHS have seen the movie, and have mixed feelings about it.

Junior Josh Dooley didn’t like the movie as much as the other ones.

“I thought The Last Jedi was too predictable and wasn’t as enjoyable as the other movies because of that,” Dooley said.

ACCESS teacher Dan Rogaczewski is a big Star Wars fan and enjoyed the movie.

“I liked it a lot. It was very entertaining and took the saga into a different avenue, not the same story sequence, something different, which leads me to believe the new trilogy after Episode IX will be awesome,” Rogaczewski said.

Senior Star Wars fanatic Andrew Sodemann also enjoyed the movie.

“I really liked the movie a lot. I was really excited to see it and when I finally saw it and heard the infamous Star Wars intro music. It felt like a kid opening presents on Christmas,” Sodemann said. “The only thing I didn’t like about it was that there was too much stuff left out that fans don’t know about.”

Episode IX won’t come out till 2019, but fans can look forward to a Han Solo solo movie in 2018.

The excitement for Star Wars is back, and that is something out of this galaxy
