Students excited for Winter Break

December 22, 2017
Winter break is almost here and many students are going to spend time with family and are hoping it snows so they can take part in the typical winter activities.
“I’m going sledding with my cousin,” sophomore Aleks Krecak said.
Some students like to spend time with their family and friends over the break.
“Over break, I am having an annual sleepover with some of my best friends! We watch Christmas movies, make lots of delicious food, and exchange gifts. Additionally, I am running a bunch because I will have tons of time. On Christmas Eve, I am running a marathon, which is something I’m super excited about!” junior Alyssa Dobbs said. “Then the rest of break will be spent doing family Christmas traditions like going to Yogi Bear Light Show, having bread bowls on Christmas Eve, baking way too many cookies, and watching football and the Hallmark channel.”
Some students have friends and family come home or go to visit there family members for the holidays.
“I’m going to New York over break. I will be spending lots of time with my family. We will also be going to the city while we are out there and enjoy all the lights,” sophomore Sebastian Hoth said.
“My friends from North Carolina will be coming into town so I will be hanging out with them,” sophomore Kelsey Sodemann said.
Some students do the unordinary, but other students will hang out with friends, eat and have fun.
“I’m going to go exploring with my friends and am going to eat so much food that my stomach’s going to burst open like Santa’s,” junior Tess Schaefer said.
“I’m going to see Star Wars, play video games, and go work out at the gym,” senior Jared Martines said.
