Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar big winners at the 2018 Grammy awards

This years Grammys were a huge hit with audiences due to all the artists great performances. The host of the night was James Corden.
During the Grammys many artists showcased cool performances that many students enjoyed.
“I thought the U2 performance was super cool since it was performed on the water in front of the Statue of Liberty even though I don’t really listen to them,” senior Nathan Brandt said.
Another student thought that the performance by Kesha was amazing since you could feel the emotion through her song.
“Ke$ha had an unbelievable performance. She sang her song with so much emotion. All of her feelings were definitely presented through her voice and were pushed off onto the crowd. I even teared up,” senior Blair Remington said.
During the Grammys Bruno Mars took home 6 grammy awards including the Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, along with a couple more. Also he and Cardi B also performed their new song ‘Finesse,’ which many people enjoyed.
“I love Bruno Mars and this new collab with Cardi B. The song really brings new attention to both artists,” senior Rose Irwin said.
On the note of winning many Grammys, taking second most awards given out that night was rapper Kendrick Lamar. He had many achievements with his albums and music throughout this year. Lamar took home 5 grammys awards for various categories like “ Best Rap Song , Best Rap Album and etc. He also opened the show with an exciting performance.
“I believe that Kendrick should have won Album of the Year, but he can’t really complain because he won 5 that night.” senior Izak King- Anaya said.
