Summer weather calls for delicious custard

As the summer is approaching, the weather is scorching. Many people’s favorite thing to do when it’s nice outside is go get some ice cream. There is nothing more perfect than a nice cold custard, in the middle of a scorching hot day. Although it may be the best thing to do, the question is where is the best place to get it? 

Leons, Kopps, and Culvers, are among just the many great ice cream places to stop at.  Other places that some people may have never heard of is Babes Ice Cream & Dessert in Bay View, a classic ice cream shop serving ice cream, cakes, shakes, malts and vegan scoops.¨Babes is the best ice cream shop near us. When I go there, I customize my sundae because they have the greatest options,¨ freshman Noah Dineen said.

Another great option in the area is Leons. Leons is a drive-in providing housemade frozen custard , milkshakes, food and more.  Senior Emily Walker spoke on her experiences at Leons. ¨Personally, I enjoy Leons the most. The vibe there is awesome because it’s an old fashioned drive-in. When I go to Leons, I get the caramel sundae,¨ she said.

Oscars is a premier restaurant that serves great food and ice cream. Personally, this is my favorite place to stop at simply because of how good their buffalo chicken sandwich and turtle sundaes. Junior Jullien Calvert said, ¨Oscars is always a great place to stop at. Typically whenever we have a family gathering we go out to eat at oscars. Their ice cream is definitely the best place to get ice cream.¨

Now that the weather is getting super hot nobody can resist ice cream and custard. From the ultimate flavors of ice cream, to glorious milk shakes, and fresh food, the area of Milwaukee is not lacking.
