Bucks have a historic start to the season

The Bucks have started off the NBA season strong, as they went 9-0 to start the season and currently have the best record in the league, 10-3.

Star player Giannis Antetokounmpo is putting up MVP stats and is leading the Bucks with 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. He is in talks right now for defensive player of the year.

Junior Cody Sanchez has been a Bucks fan his whole life, and thinks that the Bucks are the strongest team in the league with the all around tough defense, good shooting, and have been doing a good job of finishing around the basket, despite Khris Middleton being out. “He will add a great shooter and someone that we can rely on to hit clutch shots,” Sanchez said.

Brook Lopez, Jrue Holiday, Jevon Carter, and rookie Marjon Beauchamp are also helping the team when Giannis and Middleton are out. Lopez helped the team beat the Oklahoma City Thunder twice. In the first game he had 25 points, and then in the next game he had 24.

Holiday is having a decent season averaging 19 points per game and 7.9 assist per game. With Giannis out for a few games the team really has to step up if they want to win. On Nov. 9 with Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday out the team had to do their all to win the game against the Thunder. Carter had 36 points, Beauchamp had 19 points which is a career high for both of them.

Junior John Pankowski has been a Bucks fan for years and he loves Wisconsin sports and follows all the sports teams. He loves watching the Bucks and was excited to see that they were undefeated in the first nine games.

I feel that the Bucks will have a 67-and 15 record not only because of the stars like Giannis, Khris and Jrue but also because of the amount of depth we hold including the emergence of Jevon Carter and the stellar play from Marjon,” he said.

Junior Raygun Uremovich is a Bulls fan but knows a lot about the Bucks and watches some of the games and thinks that the Bucks are a strong team but not the best. “They could be but they could cool off at the wrong time and fall to like the 2 seed in a conference, but they will for sure have a top 3 record,” Uremovich said.

With the season heating up the Bucks will continue to win games and hopefully stay healthy all year long so they can bring Milwaukee another championship.
