Seniors Prepare For Graduation

As the school year is coming to an end, seniors are starting to plan for graduation. End of the year activities include graduation rehearsal, an honors breakfast and the elementary walk as well as the graduation ceremony..

Seniors also have the option to participate in a walk around their old elementary school on June 8th to reminisce about their years leading up to graduation.

“I am excited to visit my old teachers and classrooms,” senior Cason Wilson said.

Seniors will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas at the graduation ceremony on June 9 at 11:00 am. There will be many student speakers such as the valedictorians and the Student Council Officers.

“I am scared to do my speech, but excited because I am able to talk in front of my whole grade,” senior Sophia Thiel said.

In addition to students, social studies teacher Ben Hubing was voted as the faculty speaker.

After the graduation ceremony are the parties. With people having small or big parties, seniors are stressing about many details of planning it.

One of the biggest worries is who to invite and what day to have it. “I am very excited to have my grad party, but I am worried that someone else might have it on the same day that I do,” senior Mallory Skaar said.

Senior Marah Olszwski is looking forward to inviting a lot of people that she has met over the years. “This year for my senior party I am planning on having all of my friends since elementary school,” she said.

One thing all seniors look forward to is, for example senior skip day which was on May 12. “It was one of the best days of high school, I talked to people that I have never seen before, I also did not lose in volleyball one time,” senior Evan Hickey said.
