This NFL season has started with injuries, crazy upsets in team play, and of course the Green Bay Packers debuting Jordan Love, the new starting QB.
Packer fans weren’t sure what to expect this season with Jordan Love starting at QB. Some people were scared of how they would perform. But Love has performed well, throwing for 3 touchdowns and 245 yards in a win over the Bears in week one 38-20.
Then in week two against the Atlanta Falcons he had 3 touchdowns and 151 yards in a tough loss 24-25. And then in week three he was 22/44 for 259 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception in a comeback win against the Saints.
Senior Collin Kramp loves the NFL season because he gets to watch the Packers. “I feel great about the Packers so far,” He said. “Jordan Love has looked great and our rookies are making a big impact already, some people who are performing well are Jayden Reed, and our O-line, Some people who need to step up are Jaire Alexander and Aj Dillon.”
Senior Matthew Hernandez is a Packer fan as well “i’m liking how the Packers are doing without our big players. I like watching Jordan Love. He makes me excited when I watch the games.”
The Packers have been dealing with injuries themselves, with RB Aaron Jones being out for week 2 and 3 with a hamstring injury, WR Christian Watson being out for the first three weeks with a hamstring injury.
For the people that like to watch football because they like to watch their favorite players they could be at risk for injuries, because this season players seem to be dropping like flies.
Many teams besides the Packers have had a lot of injuries. A couple of notable players that have been injured are Cooper Kupp (comes back week 5), Aaron Rodgers with a torn achilles (out for season), Nick Chubb with a torn ACL (out for season), and Trevon Diggs with a torn ACL (out for season).
Junior Luke Mattes is not happy with the injuries that have occurred. “It’s really gonna be weird to not watch the star players play but have their backups play.”
Kupp and Diggs both got hurt in practice and Rodgers and Chubb got hurt in just the two opening weeks.
