The Wisconsin Badgers’ regular season has come to an end, finishing with a 7-4 record. Most fans are happy about new coach Luke Fickell who is in his first season with the Badgers, despite some losses.
“I think Luke Fickell having a pretty rough first couple games is reasonable. We need to give him time to build the team up,” sophomore Jack Grunske said.
One of the Badgers’ best players, running back Braleon Allen, suffered a left leg injury on a third and goal play in the game against Ohio State on Oct 28. But he came back and had a great end to the season.
“I think Braelon did play really well and it was worth playing him,” sophomore Thomas Hanlon said.
In the win against Minnesota, Allen had 26 carries with 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The quarterback Tanner Mordecai was 14 for 22 pass attempts with 145 passing yards, and had two touchdown passes thrown. Mordecai also had only one interception.
“The game vs Minnesota was a surprising game for Mordecai and Allen. They both came off injuries and had a really good game,” Grunske said.
Earlier this week Allen declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, and told his fans that he will not be playing in UW’s Bowl Game because of it.
