With summer approaching right around the corner, students are eager for the last day of school to hit. “I’m really excited for summer and traveling to new places on vacation,” junior Lukas Gamroth said.
Some students are traveling out of the country this summer for some time, while others are just staying close to home. “Every year me and my family go up north to our cabin, but the few days are still a really fun mini-vacation,” sophomore Thomas Hanlon said.
Students who are traveling to new places are excited to see the new cultures. “This summer I’m going to Florida and then a week later I’m going to Jamaica,” junior Giancarlo Lechuga said. “I’m really excited to be traveling a lot this summer, seeing the culture in Jamaica, and also going to Harry Potter World and Disney in Florida!”
Some students and their families travel to the same place every summer around the same time, but it is always still just as fun. “Every summer me and my family stay in a house in Garden City, South Carolina,” sophomore Casey Lamb said. “It’s always really fun because it’s a lot of my family and we always do fun things together. It’s also a really good bonding experience every year so I always look forward to it!”
Summer vacations are the highlights of student’s years, and they’re happy to be making lots of fun memories with family and friends. “I’m going to Florida this summer with my family right when we get out of school, so I’m super excited to be spending time with my parents and sisters at the beach,” sophomore Joslyn Durocher said. “But a few days after I get back I’m going back to Florida with my boyfriend and his family, so it will be really fun getting to make memories with all of them this summer.”
Some students have to work hard on their vacations to earn fun things after. “In late June I’m going to Florida for nationals for volleyball, so it’s going to be exciting when all my team’s hard work pays off when we go to Disney the next few days,” sophomore Sophie Latus said.
Some students are doing a little extra traveling than others, but it will definitely pay off in the end. “This summer me and my family are going on a cruise to the Bahamas. We went on one earlier this year but we loved it so much that we want to go on another,” freshman Aden Randolph said.
Some students don’t travel a lot, but others do. It’s always a fun time no matter where they go. “I’m going to Florida and I’m really excited to go again. I go to Florida a lot and it’s really good quality time with family,” senior Lauryn Sheasley said.
