The boys varsity volleyball team is trying to build a program, with the highlight of the season being on Aug, 28 when they beat Dominican. The boys volleyball team knows they need to work on some things and they want to be successful.
“We need to keep the intensity up and play with confidence the entire game from start to finish, and not let the score or your performance hold you back,” senior Kaden Zambo said.
They lost their most recent game against Whitnall sets 3-0 “ The two first sets were close and we lost the third set due to average passing,” Jakup Ademi said.
The athletes on the boys varsity volleyball team work tremendously hard during their down time. The boys on the team are constantly looking for ways to improve their skills and even their academic work.”
“I try to finish all my work during classes and when I’m free I practice volleyball,” sophomore Ademi said.
“Most schools record their games so I will watch some of the opponents during my free time,” Zambo.
The Varsity Coach Steve Biskupsi and the head jv coach Alli Brimmer are looking forward to finishing the season with better results and improving individual student athletes and the overall team.
“‘We spend a lot of time ensuring our basic skills are as consistent as possible, since that is the backbone of the whole rest of the game,” Brimmer said.
Coach Brimmer believes they had tough competition during their tournament this weekend, Oct, 5 in Whitefish Bay
The boys varsity vc volleyball team played competitively against Middleton and Catholic Memorial, but they came up just short.
The teams next match is Oct, 8 against Racine st. Catherines.
