The show Outer Banks is a very popular series that brings in the attention of a lot of teenagers and young adults. A little insight to this show is teenagers that live on the east coast that find treasure. The group of friends call themselves the Pogues.
The first three seasons were a big talk of the town having suspenseful scenes and unpredictable moments, leaving the audience in shock. On Oct. 10 the fourth season came out hoping to continue on the show’s legacy. This season has only released half of the episodes so far with five more episodes remaining that come out on Nov. 7. Some students argue that the first season is the best and that no other season will be able to compete.
“I don’t think any season will beat season 1. The plot and suspense is too good compared to the rest of the seasons,” senior Addison Benning said.
The cast of the characters fit their roles very well which definitely is an attention grabber for viewers. Each main character has their own separate traits that define them and molds them into the position they are in for their friend group. The show has a great cast because there isn’t only one character that everyone loves, it’s more like each character is loved and valued as much as the others.
“Rafe is definitely my favorite because he’s so attractive and he’s really unpredictable because he’s kinda turning to the good side,” senior Natalie Vega said.
“My favorite character in the series is JJ because he is always adding to the plot along with giving his friends more problems to figure out that then cause bigger problems,” Benning said.
“Sarah Cameron is my favorite character because she’s a cutie and adds a lot of problems to the plot,” senior Pierce Weber said.
What makes this show so popular is the story plot and how it can grab the attention of the viewers intensely. The show continues to show its audience every season with moments that can leave a viewer with their mouth wide open.
“I believe they do a good job on keeping the plot semi the same and not completely changing the show per season. I think since they have followed the same idea of ‘treasure hunting’ since season 1 it all ties into each other, making it a good series,” Benning said.
