Tyler the Creator fans are excited about his new album called CHROMAKOPIA which was released Oct. 28. The album was breaking records after dropping. In the first 24 hours of the album being released it hit 85 million streams.
So far throughout Tyler the Creator’s music career he has won a Brit Award, two Grammy Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. He has 34.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
Tyler the Creator is going on tour for his new album, and he has said he’s going to keep on making music and collaborating with other artists.
Fans already have their favorite song from Tyler the Creator’s album CHROMAKOPIA.
“I think ‘Darling, I’ is the best song on the album because it has a unique type of beat to it and it has really good lyrics,” sophomore Rylee McDonnell said.
Some fans have different thoughts on which song they enjoy the most from the album.
“I think ‘Take Your Mask off’ was my favorite song off the album because I like the melody to it and I just think it’s different from the rest of the songs and the lyrics have a good meaning,” sophomore Kaitlyn Frejnik said.
Most students believe that CHROMAKOPIA was well worth the wait, although, they were hoping to have one person be featured on his album.
“I was really excited to hear that Tyler the Creator was dropping, but I was a little disappointed when the rumors of Frank Ocean being on the album weren’t true,” junior Myles Kimmins said. “Overall I think the album is a solid 8.3/10 because there really wasn’t a bad song on there, but in my opinion, he has made better albums in the past.”
Despite the disappointment from most fans that Ocean wasn’t on the album, there were a lot of other features like Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Lil Wayne, and more.
Even though some students believe that the album was well worth the wait and the album was really good, some of the students have a different opinion.
“I think the album was overhyped because there was only a couple good songs on the album and most people that were rumored to be featured didn’t actually get on a song,” sophomore Mason Beaumont said.
