Thanksgiving break is coming up, and people are excited about the Thanksgiving traditions—many people like being with their families, eating good food, and watching football.
Many people at Greendale have many favorite Thanksgiving foods. This includes turkey, pumpkin pie, mac and cheese, gravy, cranberry sauce, and stuffing.
“My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the classic turkey. It is the staple of Thanksgiving, and I only eat it around Thanksgiving time,” sophomore Brady Lindholm said.
“I love eating mac and cheese during Thanksgiving. It is my favorite side dish, and I just love the cheesiness of it,” junior Aiden Acevedo said.
Many people’s favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is the desserts after. The most common dessert at Thanksgiving time is pumpkin pie. People also like apple pie and other sweet treats that their body craves after eating a long Thanksgiving meal.
“Pumpkin pie just tastes amazing after a long Thanksgiving meal. It just hits the spot, and I only eat it at Thanksgiving,” Lindholm said.
On Thanksgiving, many people watch football. One of the key games is the Miami Dolphins vs the Packers. Many people see the game as a test for the Packers but expect a win.
“We should win this game. We are the better team, and we need to show it. The dolphins have a couple of playmakers, including Tyreek Hill and Devon Achane, but we should still come out on top,” junior Jack Grunske said.
