Going into a new year is a great time for a fresh start and new goals to be made.
Students have realized over this year that they must manage their time better.
“My New Year’s resolution is to be better at time management,” senior Yaremy Calzada said.
Students strive to make themselves look and feel more healthy.
“I am going to try hard to stop drinking energy drinks because they are bad for me,” sophomore Anthony Bird said.
“My resolution is to stop eating so much candy,” sophomore Brady Lindholm-Krisman said.
“I want to start going to the gym more because when I used to, I liked the way I felt afterward,” freshman Cole Johnson said.
“My resolution is to be a leader and help others around me,” junior Zane Morris said.
Even teachers have upcoming goals for the new year.
“My New Year’s resolution is to spend more time with my friends because I believe it’s important to keep that connection going with people you love,” guidance counselor Trish Matlock said.
“I need to limit frivolous spending and think about if I need or want whatever it is I’m trying to buy,” special education teacher Matthew Susek said.
With the new year coming soon, many students aim to improve in school.
“My number one goal is to get my grades up to A’s and B’s,” junior Chase Ruhland said.
“I’m going to work on getting all my missing assignments turned in and my new assignments in on time,” sophomore Rylee McDonald said.
Going into the new year, students want to push to pursue their extracurricular activities.
“My New Year’s resolution for the new year is to practice tennis more often and get better,” junior Audrey Cullen said.
As the new year begins, both teachers and students are ready to reach their goals and resolutions. They set their sights high and stay focused, hoping to make this year the best one yet.
