As the semester comes to an end, exams are around the corner and teachers and students scurry to prepare.
“I’m a little nervous and don’t think I’ll do that good. I’ve been doing the study guides and everything the teachers have given me. I’m most nervous about AP psych and most confident in ASL,” junior Sophia Carini said.
Another student feels the same way. “I’m feeling nervous and unprepared, but I’m most nervous for AP Lang, and I’ll do my best in choir,” junior Kyla Bassler said.
Seniors are also nervous about their last upcoming mid-term of high school.
“I’m a little scared for AP bio and AP pre-calc, but other than that I’m feeling pretty confident I’m sad about graduation and this being the official halfway mark,” senior Kendall Coggins.
While some students are worried others are feeling prepared.
“I’m feeling very confident. I do whatever handouts the teachers give me and do some normal studying the night before,” junior Anders Weishan said.
Exams can be a stressful time for students and teachers. Teachers are doing their best to better prepare their students.
“I will have my students do an in class review and go through answers together as a class. In some of my chemistry classes we will do a review activity too,” science teacher Courtney Ehlert said. “Students should also spend time on their own preparing too. I suggest they look back at notes, study, ask questions, and make smart FLEX choices.”
