Invincible has been one of the most popular shows in recent years, and it just released its third season. Debuting in 2021, it is based on a popular comic series and has been topping the charts on Prime Video. Fans have been waiting for season 3 since 2023 after many unanswered questions and a cliffhanger in season 2.
Invincible is about Mark Grayson, a 17-year-old whose father is Omni-man, the strongest superhero on Earth. As Mark discovers his powers and gets stronger, he discovers that his father’s legacy and intentions with Earth are not as heroic as they once seemed. Season 3 has expanded on this and has quickly become a fan favorite.
“The emotional depth this season has been great. I feel like I connect with the characters much more now, whether good or bad,” senior Josh Keepert said.
“This is my favorite season so far, great mix of action and wrapping up unanswered questions,” senior Aaron Reeve said.
The final episode is set to be released on March 13, and students are making predictions about how this season will end.
“I predict that they’re going to leave us with a cliffhanger again, like they did in the season 2 finale, and we’re going to have to wait another year before we see answers,” junior Hayden Heise said.
“They’re going to leave on a cliffhanger; they’ve done it the past 2 seasons, but I have a good feeling about this finale,” Keepert said.
Some students have criticisms about the new season.
“I dislike how they make us wait a week for each episode. I feel like that’s their way of covering up how short the season is and making it seem longer,” senior Sanid Swei said.
“I’m not sure I like how the new season is progressing. They’re exploring so many storylines, but there’re only 8 episodes, so many things are left unfinished,” senior Carly Belter said.
The new season of invincible has had its ups and downs, but many people enjoy it, and some have criticisms. Despite this, everyone is eager to see the finale and season 4, which is set to debut in 2026.
