With AP exams approaching in May, students are focused on preparing in various ways. Study methods differ, but common strategies include reviewing notes, completing practice tests, and organizing study schedules. Many students break down material into manageable sections, ensuring consistent review over time.
Leading up to exams students start looking for different studying strategies “I look over my notes,” junior Derek Coatzozon said.
Beyond studying, managing stress is also a priority. Strategies such as taking breaks, maintaining a regular sleep schedule, and exercising help students stay focused and avoid stress. Many recognize the importance of balance, ensuring that preparation does not become overwhelming.
“For preparing for the APUSH exam, I look over CQs from classes,” junior Giselle Paszkiewicz said.
Some prefer independent study, using flashcards or online resources to reinforce key concepts. Others find group study sessions helpful, discussing topics and solving problems collaboratively. Practice tests are a widely used tool, allowing students to assess their understanding and identify areas for improvement.
“It’s never too early to start reviewing,”AP teacher Ben Hubing said. The most common ways students are studying for the exams are “reviewing material from class, looking over notes and videos.”
