The Greendale girls varsity softball season is underway and the girls are really excited for the season. They started off with a win against Cudahy. 25-0. In the second game into the season they lost to Wisconsin Lutheran 12-0. but the girls are working for their goals for the next upcoming games in the future.
The girls think that everyone has grown from their weaknesses from last year, but they do believe there are more strengths to work hard on.
“I believe our team is very strong in our skills,” junior Giselle Paszkiewicz said. “But if we really want to pursued a good connection all together as a team, we really need to work on our communication skills during practices and especially during games.”
There are no freshman on varsity this year, so without many new members, the team has the same bond with each other from the other classmen from last year to strive and to grow bigger.
“I’ve really been looking forward to playing with the team again,” junior Ella Padron said. “We all have had such a good bond since freshman year when I joined, and I am really looking forward for our future bond and for it to get stronger.”
The coaches are doing everything they can to help the girls achieve their goal for the season.
The team recently played Pius XI on April 14 and won 14-1. The girls are proud, but know for future they can do better.
