Whether you ask with a classic homemade sign or on a billboard at a Brewers game, Promposals are always entertaining to see and watch happen. It is always fun to see all the different ways people decide to ask their dates and the signs they come up with and even the people they ask for the big night.
There are some people who are super prepared and know how to ask their date in the perfect way.
Senior Cameron Bueno took a lot of consideration into asking senior Callie Morzy.
“Cam asked me on May 3. He wrote out prom with candles holding flowers in my driveway. He was really sweet and he is always on top of things like this and I never have to remind him or ask him.”
Morzy said.
A sign is always a classic way of asking someone to Prom, but what you put on the sign is just as important. A lot of people can get creative with these, but some use the basic, but classic signs that you can find on pinterest.
“I am taking Sami Boardman to prom this year. I asked her with a sign that said ‘Can I score a date to prom?’ with a soccer ball since she plays soccer,” senior Gabe Knopick said.
One thing that is becoming more common every year is students bring underclassmen to Prom. Even though prom is technically for juniors and seniors, underclassmen are allowed to go if their date is upperclassmen.
“I am taking Dana Flink. I think that asking her in a private setting is better because you don’t feel as embarrassed, I asked her Thursday May 8 with a sign that one of my friends made,” senior Josiah Ornelas said.
“ I am really excited to go to Prom this year. I have a lot of friends who are upperclassmen which is good so I won’t feel so alone at Prom. I think that Josiah’s promposal was really cute and I haven’t seen anyone have a poster that was similar to what he did,” sophomore Dana Flink said.
Junior Brayden Dolkiewicz asked sophomore Liv Trentadue at her house.
“I thought the way that Braden asked me was really cute because he asked me with a Starbucks sign and brought me my favorite drink. I’m looking forward to being with all my friends because so many of us are going this year,” sophomore Trentadue said.
Prom is an event that many students get excited about going into second semester. The big event takes place May 23 at the Italian Community Center which means there is only a few days left until Prom.
