Beaches and lakes are nature’s aquatic playgrounds. They offer a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. They provide a diverse range of experiences, from sun soaked relaxation to thrilling water sports. Each body of water holds its unique charm, drawing visitors in with the promise of natural beauty and memories.
Luckily GHS students there are many lakes and beaches to visit during this summer, and share some opinions on their favorite beach spots. Whether it’s a beach along Lake Michigan, out west to Pewaukee Lake, or even Little Muskego Lake.
“My favorite beach is Atwater on Lake Michigan. It’s really nice and very clean, and they have the best sunsets,” senior Callie Morzy said.
Lots of people enjoy doing water activities on the lake.
“When I go to the beach I usually go on a boat with my family. I love to tube and wakeboard, but tubing is definitely my favorite,” freshman Lillan Dobs said.
Some students here even have lake houses.
“My family owns a lake house on Caledonia lake, so I go there and swim a lot. It’s my all time favorite place to be and go, especially with all my friends,” senior Olivia Kaltenbach said.
Some people go pretty frequently.
“I go to Booth Lake in East Troy about once every two weeks,” junior Audrey Cullen said. “My Godfather owns a house there so I have gone there a lot, ever since I was a kid.”
Students’ various preferences emphasize that the ideal beach or lake experience is deeply individual. These beach spots are essential for relaxation, and a great way to fulfill the summer.
