With summer right around the corner, junior students have senior photos on their agenda. There’s lots to think about such as who will take them, where to go, and what to wear.
Current seniors have had theirs taken and offer some advice.
“I would make sure to have more than one outfit change and make sure it’s not a windy day,” senior Callie Morzy said. “I wore jeans and a white tank top, then for my second outfit change, I wore a sundress.”
They warn juniors that it will take some time.
“I would make sure to dress nicely and be prepared to be there for a while, ” senior Ben Hites said. “For my first outfit, I wore a golf polo and nice shorts, and for my second, I wore a green shirt with khakis.”
There are many different places to go to get your photos taken.
“I plan on taking my photos at the Botanical Gardens because the scenery is very nice and I went there for Prom and the photos turned out well,” junior David Lunar said.
“I am going downtown for my photos at the Art Museum because there is a great variety of spots to take photos,” junior Audrey Cullen said.
A crucial aspect of taking your senior photos is ensuring you have the right photographer.
“I found my photographer on Instagram by looking at her photos and loving the work she did, I knew I had to have her do mine,” junior Josie Marshall said.
“I had my cousin do my photos because she is a perfectionist, and I knew she would make sure they were spot on. She is also a professional photographer,” Hites said.
Most people get their clothing items from similar stores.
“I got my dress from Altered State, my jeans from Aerie, and my white top from Target,” Morzy said.
“I went to a few different stores to find the right green pogo I was looking for, but I finally found it at American Eagle along with my shorts and khakis,” Hites said.
As summer continues more students of the class of 2026 will start to schedule their senior photos!
