Fall is the start to many things, one being haunted houses. Some people have mixed emotions about haunted houses. Some people think that haunted houses are terrifying and they never want to have the thrill of being scared, while other people tend to have a great time at haunted houses.
Students love going to haunted houses because they get to spend time with their friends and family.
“I love haunted houses because I always go with my friends and it’s so funny watching them get scared,” junior Kyler Schwartz said.
Haunted houses have a lot of hatred towards them because some allow the actors to touch the visitors.
“Haunted houses are really scary, once, I went to a haunted house with my friends and the person dressed up touched me and scared me so bad,” senior Rayna Patel said.
Students typically go to haunted houses around us like The Hills Has Eyes, and Abandoned Haunted House.
“When I visited Brazil, l went to a haunted house called Casa de Dona Yaya and it was amazing, ” senior Josh Sanchez said. “It was my favorite because it actually scared me unlike other haunted houses.”
Some students even work at haunted houses and enjoy dressing up. “I worked at The Hills Has Eyes for three seasons.” senior Elizabeth Mascitti said, “Depending on which trail I was in, my costume would be different as well. I enjoyed my last season the most since I got to spend it with a close friend of mine.”
Overall, students have mixed emotions for haunted house season; haunted houses fascinate people’s fears and reveal how differently we all experience fear and fun.
