After winning the American Association baseball championship, the Milwaukee Milkmen have big expectations this season. With the new indoor facility they were able to train a lot during the offseason, and they are expected to have another winning season.

Their season starts May 18 and their first home game is May 25. Of course there will be Covid rules, such as 50 percent capacity, which means 2,250 fans are allowed to be in attendance.

Some people are disappointed about this rule because they enjoy going to the Milkmen games with friends and family, but they are happy that they are still letting some people in. “My friends and I enjoy going to the Milkmen games because if we don’t have anything to do we could always watch the game, and the players are pretty good, so the games are fun to watch,” junior Jackson Richards said.

Milkmen games are also more affordable than other games like Brewer games. Tickets are less than $20 and you can also get game packs. For example they have a 5 game pack for $80 and the food is pretty cheap too.

There is also a lot of interaction with the fans at games where they can win prizes, and since there’s only going to be about 2,250 people fans have a big chance of winning. Senior Owen Fisher has been to some games and likes the interaction with the fans. “During halftime of the quarter finals, my family and I were dancing and I looked up and we were on the jumbotron, and the crowd was cheering. I only saw that happen at major league games so it was cool that they had it at the Milkmen Games,” he said.

One thing the Milkmen players as well as GHS football players were excited for is the new indoor workout facility with top tier equipment, trainers, and a rehab facility. “This is a game changer because players will be able to train, go to rehab, and workout all in one building,” junior Danny Hanlon said.

The Milkmen have a lot of potential this year. With a new facility and a lot of

new talent like Conor Fisk who was drafted by the Blue Jays in 2014, Ty Hensley who was picked by the Yankees first round in 2012, Brandon Koch who was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2015 and many more.
