Khloe Pedersen is a senior here at GHS and she participates in many sports and activities, such as DECA, Student Council, and Sources of Strength.
She is enjoying her senior year. “My favorite highlight of senior year so far was definitely powder puff. Even though my team lost, it was a great time talking to people I never really talked to before and just making more friends and being involved in my senior year,” Pedersen said.
Pedersen belongs in GHS and is very grateful to be a part of so many activities.
“I love Sources of Strength and Student Council because I get to interact with different people and we all help each other and give all of our support. It is so nice to be participating in so many activities because it makes the high school experience much more fun,” she said.
Pedersen is a very bright person, in and out of school. She is always looking for the best in people.
“Khloe is real. She is not afraid to voice her concerns or opinions and I really strive to see that in my students, Khloe is driven to do well and that’s one of my favorite things about her,” social studies teacher Nicole Mobley said.
Pedersen is also an accomplished athlete who participates in Greendale basketball, golf, and will be joining soccer next spring. With the little free time she has, she also decided to sign up for lifeguarding and is now a certified lifeguard.
“I have always loved basketball and have done it for many years. I’ve met so many people throughout my life because of basketball so it will always have an impact on my life, but after I joined golf, I loved it so much and reconnected with people,” Pedersen said.
Even outside of school Pedersen is always out and active. She loves to hang out with her family and friends the most and loves shopping. After high school her parents are starting their own business and she is hoping it takes off so she can be in her family’s business industry. If that does not work out she will be joining the trades to be an electrician.
After being in high school for four years Pedersen has learned and experienced a lot.
“I honestly never believed when people older than me told me high school flies by and there is not time to waste,” she said. “I thought they just said that because every day felt the same but after realizing this is my last year and I have to make it the best I wish I could go back and redo a lot of things but now it’s almost all over. My advice is to just have fun, be yourself, don’t listen to negative comments, do what you enjoy, not what your friends enjoy, and my most important tip is to stay out of drama.”
