As students head toward the end of the school year and winter sports and activities come to an end it leaves a lot of free time for students. One thing that students can do to fill up that time is find a fun job heading into summer. There are an endless amount of jobs for teenagers within a good distance, so people can make some extra money.
With other things going on in people’s lives you can find jobs that are specific to the time frame that would work for you the best. For students who would prefer a morning job you can look at coffee shops and breakfast places and if you are looking for a job where it’s needed more at night you can look into more clothing stores or even fast food restaurants. The options are endless.
“I have been working at a Dia Cafe for the past six months and I love it there. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a job where they like to work in the morning till mid afternoon. They do pay well but you get a majority of your money through tips,” senior Khloe Pedersen said.
AST Logistics is another place that is really good for teens who are looking for an easy job with flexible hours throughout the day. Sometimes it can be hard putting yourself out there and going into places asking for job applications but if you know someone who works at a place you would like to work, getting an application could make it a little easier.
” I really like my job and I only work about three to five days a week depending on my availability. What’s really nice about working there is that I get to choose my own hours for each week and they pay well,” junior Aiden Acevedo said.
For the people who like the office environment there are many jobs available for people who are looking for something to do such as a receptionist. Jobs like these are good for people who are interested in the business world of the future, because it would allow you to learn more about the business you could possibly work in.
“I have worked as a receptionist at the Hair and Body Shop since January of 2024. I love my job and would recommend it to anyone who is good with people. They are not currently hiring but there are many places like this who need receptionists,” senior Callie Morzy said.
There are jobs out there for everyone you just have to look. For the gymnasts and cheerleaders out there or the people who just like doing cool tricks Elite Tumbling factory might be for you. There are many different locations in the area so you can find one that’s most convenient for you.
