Red Bull’s Iced Vanilla Berry flavor has officially returned to store shelves after originally appearing as a limited Winter Edition release in December 2024. After disappearing from many stores, the drink built a strong following online and among students who hoped the flavor would eventually come back.
Now that it has returned, students across the school are quickly noticing the familiar light blue cans back in coolers at local gas stations and grocery stores. Many say the flavor stood out because it was different from the company’s usual fruit-heavy options, offering a smoother, less intense taste that made it easier to drink during the school day.
Students say spotting the flavor again felt unexpected since many assumed it would stay a seasonal product.
“I didn’t even know at first. Then I saw it at the store and was like oh it’s back. So yeah I grabbed one,” senior Easton Gorzalski said.
Gorzalski said the drink tasted exactly how he remembered it and still holds up compared to newer flavors released since last winter. He also believes the flavor deserves a permanent place because students consistently buy it when it is available.
Other students agree the flavor ranks highly compared to other options and say it continues to live up to the attention it received when it first launched.
“Top tier for sure. One of the better ones they’ve made,” senior David Acamovic said.
Acamovic said he drinks about one energy drink each school day and thinks flavors that are smoother and less sweet are easier to drink in the morning compared to stronger fruit flavors. He rated Iced Vanilla Berry an 8.5 out of 10 and said the return feels justified because students clearly wanted it back.
Not every student has tried the returning flavor yet, but some say the buzz around campus has made them curious to see what the hype is about.
“I’ve never had it and still haven’t,” “I have heard friends talk about the flavor but has not had a chance to try it yet, though I plan to eventually,” senior Nemanja Ajder said.
Students who have not tried it before now have another opportunity as the flavor appears more widely available again.
As students continue to pick up cans between classes or after school, the return of Iced Vanilla Berry shows how quickly certain flavors can build loyal followings. Whether the flavor stays long term or eventually rotates out again, its comeback has already created noticeable excitement among students looking for a familiar favorite.
