At the end of 2023, a new Rom-com movie was released in theaters called Anyone But You, which ended up being a huge hit and some people are even considering it the best Rom-com of the year. 

The movie takes place around two people, played by Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, whose hatred for each other is ruining their mutual friend’s destination wedding. This leaves them forced to act friendly throughout the trip.

“I found out about this movie because it was very popular throughout TikTok,” junior Tess Zaja said. “I went to go see it with my friend Billie Reiter. The movie was even better than we thought it was going to be because I thought it was just going to be a normal love story, but it was also very fun.”

Another junior, Sophia Herrera, also went to go see this movie and had a very good review. “Some of my friends went to see the movie and loved it so I decided to go and see it,” Herrera said. “It was so good I would even go and watch it again.”
On the other hand, some people who went to see the movie thought the title “Best Rom-com of the year” was far from true. “I saw it with Abby Hajewski because we heard it was the “Rom-com of the decade,” senior Brynn Curtis said. “We found out about the movie from Tiktok, but we weren’t the biggest fans because so many moments gave us second hand embarrassment.” 

Even though there are mixed opinions on this movie, it’s still a very fun movie to watch and is gaining popularity every day.
