With the NBA season in full swing, and there are questions with fantasy basketball owners as to who some of the best players are to pick up and who to trade away.
Fantasy basketball is just like Fantasy Football where fans draft players and they get fantasy points(fpts) based on how they play.
“Fantasy Basketball is just like Fantasy Football and I had some pretty good players,“ freshman Abdul Jamaleddin said. “Last year I got Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo and they were going off for me. I was scared that Luka wouldn’t do well after the trade, but he got even better than before.”
Fantasy basketball can be played on lots of different apps such as ESPN and Sleeper. Most people use Sleeper and they play like Fantasy Football where it is week by week, but some use ESPN.
“ESPN Fantasy is very different from Sleeper Fantasy,” freshman Cayden Kelley said. “When a player plays his game, unlike Sleeper, you don’t lock in the player’s performance but instead their entire week of performances is how many points they score.”
Through these first 7 games of the season so far the best players have been similar to last year with Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo being some of the best players in the league consistently. Victor Wembanyama (Wemby) is having a bounce back year from last after getting a season ending injury.
“My brother got Jokic in our league and he has not disappointed, proving he is the best player in the NBA,” Jamaleddin said. “This year I got Cade Cunningham and he hasn’t been like himself last year, but still good. I also got Josh Giddey who is leading the Bulls to winning most games.”
Some players to look for include Myles Turner because he and Antetokounmpo are the best players on the Milwaukee Bucks. Some other players include Tyler Herro who has been one of the best at his position and he will stay dominant after coming back from his injury.
