AP Exams begin in early May, and students are prepared to go above and beyond and achieve college credit, so colleges can acknowledge their scores and give them credit in college. Some students have experienced the AP Exams, while others are taking their first one.
AP Exams are when AP students take their AP tests, refreshing all of the memories that they have learned this year, and applying that knowledge to put it on their AP Exam. AP Exam consists of multiple choice questions and essay questions that students have to fill out. Students have been studying hard for the AP Exam and are getting wisdom from teachers who teach AP classes.
“Students should use the resources on AP Classroom, including the review videos, and follow the instructions I give them,” AP literature teacher Alli Brimmer said.
Students are studying hard to pass the AP exams. Some students have taken the AP exams already during their sophomore and junior years, while others are taking their first-ever AP Exam as a sophomore or a junior.
Sophomore Bryce Carlson talks about how much he’s prepared for his first ever AP Exam, taking AP Euro.
“I have been studying for about a week so far and I feel prepared for the AP Exam,” Carson said. “I think I can get over a three on the AP Euro exam to acquire college credit for most colleges.”
Some seniors and juniors already have experience taking the AP Exam, and know how to study for it. Students have been preparing for the AP exam weeks, studying about a week or two before they take the AP Exam. Some of these AP classes that students have already taken have been AP Euro, AP Pre Calculus, and AP Language. Students who have taken AP Exams give wisdom to students who are taking their first ever AP Exam.
“My advice towards students who are taking their first ever AP Exam is don’t stress a lot about the exam,” junior Michael Bode said. “I took my first AP Exam on AP Euro and ended up getting college credit.”
Many students are taking multiple AP classes, causing them to take multiple AP Exams. Many students have talked about which class they think will be the hardest AP Exam to take this year.
Junior Declan Booth talks about which class will be harder between AP Lang and AP Pre-Calc.
“I think my hardest AP Exams for me will be AP Lang because AP Lang causes a lot of focus to take, as you are learning a lot of new writing skills,” Booth said.
Overall new and old students refresh their memory of learning what they’ve learned about in AP classes, as they prepare themselves to take the AP Exam and pass to achieve extra credit.
